Mother Day (Flashback of the celebration)

I have to admit that now, I start to enjoy mother day better compare to last year, even though this year, we don’t celebrate it at all ~ as my mom is away (in hometown), Dadi is travelling last weekend.

But, since Jona & Iz start to know the meaning of Mother Day (in their own way), it brings happier to me.

Jona make nice Mother Day card for me and he, himself feel proud of it. Even though he does give me the flower (on behalf of his kindy), maybe, he doesn’t contribute in making it, he seem not so keen when he present it to me. This son of mine is really a loving boy.

Last weekend, he even remind me and Iz that once we arrived at my sister house, we need to wish my sister “Happy Mother Day” because he say “Mommy, later when we go Aunty Flora’s house, we must also remember to wish Aunty Flora – ‘Happy Mother Day’. Because she is also a mother to Gaby”. I really speechless.

For Iz, he shows his love to me by presenting the flower in his special way. I think he is the kind of more like to present with action rather than wording compare to Jona. When I reach his kindy to fetch him back from nursery last Friday, he patiently waits for me behind the grill. From far, I can see him standing there with hands put at the back. At first, I didn’t though of anything. And, suddenly when teacher open the grill, he grin widely and ask me, “Mommy, do you know what is behind my back?” And, then, present me with this flower with the sweetest smile on his face. How thoughtful of him and wish me “Happy Mother Day”.

And, on Sunday, my pastor gives me these messages:

The meaning of the mother is universal:

M is for the million things she gives,
O means only that she is growing old,
T is for the tears she shed to save her child,
H is for her heart of purest-gold,
E is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
R means right, and right she will always be.

She spent sleepless nights when we were about to born.
She spent sleepless nights when we were very small.
She spent sleepless nights when we were going through our school exams.
She spent sleepless nights when we were used to come late during college days.
She spent sleepless nights when we went abroad for our 1st onsite assignments.
She spent sleepless nights when our marriage preparations were taking place.

And at the end…..what she gets in return.

Sleepless nights thinking of what she did wrong that her children left her alone at home to settle abroad?
She never complains, she never argues…..she only love and love and loves her children.
That’s the character of a Mother.

How touching……Here, I would like to wish all Mother a Happy Mother Day and hoping everyday, is a mother day to you!!!

Merry X'mas Everyone!!

I thought this year, my loving Christmas tree will be spare from any disturbance. And, who know, it isn't.......See the outcome....Who did this? Well, you all should be able to guess it - it is my lil Iz......Why? Well, it is not because of his naughtiness, indeed, he treat this Christmas tree as the place where he release his STRESS!!

When he is bully by his kor kor or lil nephew, Gaby, he will run and go to the Christmas tree, and shake shake the tree to release his stress. Then, he will be OK again, and poor the Christmas tree, all the decorations just dropped to the floor. After being treated like this several times, I and my mom really give up hope of hanging back the decorations...
But, the best part of this Christmas season this year are my boys. They really growing up. See, all the pressies, it has not been opened at all since I or my mom or their aunties bought it for them. All they did, just play with the pressies without tearing off the wrapping as Jona will always keep remind Iz saying: "You only can open this present on Christmas day - 25th Dec" and both just giggling with it....

So impressive to see Jona has so strong determination and can withstand the temptation. I really salute him as he is just a 5 years old boy.

Ha,ha..even though my Christmas tree look awful, but, below the Christmas tree, you still see a lot of pressies right? And, it still look like Christmas hor.....Happy X'Mas to all of you. And, may you enjoy this day with your family & loved one!!!

'Lovely Dovey' Day

"Happy Valentine Day, Momi!!" is a word came from Jona mouth once he saw me coming to pick him up from daycare. When he mention it, he really feel so happy and proud of himself.

"Momi, I passed this card to you, then, you give to Dadi and said, Happy Valentine to Dadi, ok?" Jona suddenly mention it when we reach our car porch. "Wowww".....it seem like Jona know the meaning of Valentine, does he? I just wonder what the teacher in school teach him about Valentine or explain to him about it.

And, yesterday whole nite, Jona has been keep holding the Valentine card that he make in school till this morning. Before sleep, he said "Momi, I love this card so much, that's why I bring it together with me to sleep".....so lovely.

Anyway, today, we won't be celebrating our Valentine (but Dadi has apply a day off next week Wed to celebrate it with me - hooray!!) due to I'm too busy preparing my presentation for coming strategy meeting....as well as since we got Jona, we don't celebrate it in big scale anymore....now, thinking of the past when I received lots of gift and surprise flower from Dadi as well as secret admirers..... he.he....

Bug, Bug go away......

Till today, I still feel so tired and exhausted. Yeah, not because of CNY preparation or go to visit my hubby relatives or friends or go to any places as what we had planned (Taiping Zoo or Hot Spring). This year, we just didn't went anywhere, except 'lock' ourselves at my FIL house in Ipoh.

Why? Both my princes has fall sick even before CNY....it started with Jona having a sudden cough, follow by flu and high fever one week before CNY. When Jona not feeling well, he totally just no mood to play or eat. Whole day, he will just laid on sofa, cough and had high fever.
While Iz 'took' advantage of this situation, and became 'KING' of the house. He can play whatever toys he want without anyone disturb or bully him.....he,he...and momi so busy handling kor kor, till didn't realise that Iz diaper has turn into 'buggy' bag........and see the cute 'apple' shape(buttock). He just being so happy playing alone all by himself. Of course, he will be disturbing me or Kor kor to play with him.

After Jona sick for a day, and taking medicine for fever as well as puff for cough, PLUS Momi boiled crysathemun tea for him, immediately he get better the next day. And, I tho I could do a last minute shopping before back to Ipoh. Who know, it is Iz turn!!

So, Iz also had same symptoms like Jona - high fever, flu and serious cough. So, when Iz not feeling well, Jona being so playful again. Just like 'playing' with me to see how strong am I.

And, after one day, Iz show signal of going to be recover soon, and who know, Jona condition started to become bad when he attend school on Monday. The following day, he get MC, and situation became worst as his paed predicted. And, both need to be on antibiotic, which paed give to Iz as well as precautious in case, he might need it.

This 'BACTERIA' just infected both of them non stop. One day is Jona, the another day will be Iz. This 'drama' continue till second day of CNY.......

Just imagine, how tired am I, being sleepless for some many nights. And, frankly speaking, this is the 1st CNY that I didn't celebrate it as usual instead of taking care of my boys (100%) at home!!.....But, thanks GOD, on the day when we plan to come back to KL, both recovered and now, back to normal life like 'leaving' the bug at Ipoh home.......what a nice start for 'RAT' year, I tho. And, I do wish this RAT year, it will bring more good health to my boys rather than MC........

'Gong Xi Gong Xi'

Yesterday night, Jona so happily sing a famous Chinese New Year song (he told me, is Uncle Yen, his school principal taught them how to sing - I guess because Chinese New Year is just around the corner). Frankly speaking, he sing quite well just the pronounciation is a bit 'run' but, overall he can finish the whole song.
.....the lyrics like....
"Gong xi gong xi gong xi ni ya"
"Gong xi gong xi gong xi ni"......

And, I told Dadi that on the way back to his hometown next week, we dont' have to switch on the tape/radio anymore, Jona can sing the CNY song and we will have the mood :P

So, here sincerely I would like to wish everyone 'Gong Xi Fa Cai', and may this year - Golden Mouse, bring lots of happiness, wealth, joy to you & your family.....

I try to ask Iz to join Jona to wish everyone, Happy Prosperous Chinese New Year, but, he just don't want...and he run away!!

Your Birthday is Their Birthday too....

I guess this statement is truly correct nowadays....Since I got 2 active toddlers at home, and I also make it a compulsory to celebrate each one birthday with a cake. Recently, I just celebrate my birthday.....he,he..yup, I'm old already, but, I don't mind at all, cause I have 2 beautiful, lovely & adorable sons that always make my day bright.

On my birthday, Jona already keep telling me "Happy Birthday, Momi"...and sing a song for me, draw a nice drawing for me - Jona & Momi with cake and heart shape....how thoughtful of him.....early in the morning.

On that nite, this is what happened. Both boys, just can't wait to sit properly. Both fighting want to put up the candles on birthday cake. Before I could take a nice picture of the birthday cake (hubby bought ice cream cake for me from Baskin Robbin) as memory, Jona pull out the 'Happy Birthday' label from the cake(which suppose to be on the right side), and immediately after blowing the candles, Iz pull out the Baskin Robbin logo (on left side), and pop into his mouth - saying yummy, yummy!!

What a mess birthday celebration: Put candles on cake -> sing a birthday song -> blow the candles twice(Jona & Iz: each one once) -> eat the cake.....all these done by Jona & Iz meaning Momi didn't got the chance to blow the candles at all except receive the birthday song and eat the cake.....it happens so fast within 10 mins....everything finished and they just went off....missing in action and no where to be seen.

The 'Happy Birthday' Logo is missing (on right side)

What a 'ugly' cake after 2 rascals attack it...

Iz is so impatient waiting for the cake to be cut.....

See!! He is licking the cake and Jona just posing with it......aiyoo...

Both fighting want to cut the cake into pieces.

Iz, of course, can't wait for the cake to be distribute properly....

Of course, I do get special present from Dadi....ha,ha...:) And, what Dadi say is true: "Your Birthday is 'their' - Jona & Iz birthday too!!"

Birthday Celebration.....fun, fun, fun

Even though daddy birthday has past (last month - April), but, the joy of seeing my 2 princes sooo excited about it make me wonder: is my boys really grown up?

They seem to be really enjoy the whole scene: from seeing the cake -> putting candle on -> sing birthday song -> make a wish -> cutting the cake -> final part, eat the cake..

Seeing the cake:
Jona: Wowww,..it is MOUSE!!! Really pretty..
Isaac: moue, moue (meaning mouse)...keep pointing his finger on it and try to poke on it several times
(while mommy keep thinking it is a ladybird, kah,kah)..

And, throughout, putting candle, singing song, and cutting cake, Jona is the leader. He want to put candle and sing the whole song while we just clap and smiling. Isaac, for now, only as 'penonton' - guess soon he will mastermind all these skills.

Overall, both boys really do enjoy the birthday celebration (esp. the birthday cake) for the first time throughout these few years (attend lots of birthday celebration). Maybe, because both can participate in putting the candle for daddy, sing a birthday song and EAT the cake....

Isaac definitely is the 'cake-eater'...He just eat and eat non stop and do enjoy every much each pieces of it. And, won't let other hold for him....He so good in holding the spoon to scoop the cake....

Following day, both still want the cake as breakfast, tea time, etc....don't know because the cake is so cute and nice that tempting them, or the cake really taste nice???

p/s: the cake is so cute ler....and cheap too (bought it from Angel Cake House and cost only around RM42 for 1 kg)...
