Tag: 8 Random Facts About My Mum

I have to thanks Healy for giving me this wonderful Tag. To write this Tag, I have been searching high and low for my mom - wonderful pose...he,he..just can't find it lor....when I got time, better take my mom to studio to take some nice personal pic.

It is really meaningful and easy to write this Tag, because I have lot of stories to tell about my superb mom.

1. When she became grandmom, she just simply LOVE all her grandsons / granddaughters and pamper them so much till we all (her son and daughters) think it is too much. She will try to grant their wishes if she can fulfill it.

2. She simply a good cook!! Even my hubby keep praise her cooking and love homecook so much. And, Jona just put on weight when he is being taken care by my mom compare to daycare. Imagine all nice homecook food and all those nutritious chicken soup that she boil esp. for Jona. I'm really lousy cook lor....when I have superb cook mom, of course, I become lousy and lazy in learning how to cook.

3. Even though all of her kids has grow up, she still worries about us, esp when I went for travelling, or my younger sis take bus to come visit her. Or, if we faced some difficulties or problems, she will feel bad or worry about our problems too. That's why she is called MOM.

4. She love travelling so much. She said, while she is still fit to move around, she just wanted to travel as much as possible, which all of us truly agree with her. The big problem is, all of us is working and couldn't just simply take off to accompany her for longer period. She has been to China(several times), Korea, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore and what else huh, I can't remember liao... And, my biggest wish if I become SAHM one day, I will travel with her as much as I could.

5. Beside being excellent cook, she is superb in making pastry, cookies or cakes. It really taste yummy and nice. When I was young, I remember that she make birthday cake for us whenever one of us birthday. She make cookies for CNY, buns, curry puff, tart, etc for us to eat. And, she got lot of recipes book that she want to pass down to her daughters which currently only my eldest sis is interested on it.

6. She is excellent in taking care of me and my sis when we deliver our babies. Till now, I have no problem at all after confinement, even though, I switch on air con, fan 24 hours a day, and didn't really following the traditional rules of confinement. Mainly, I guess is because she boil and cook the nutritious meal for me.

7. She love gardening - esp planting the plant that contain good effect for health. Like pandan leaf - good to be drink daily for preventing gout, etc....

8. She love reading esp health magazine, newspaper and book. I guess my bro inherit this from my mom, and now, Jona too. Both my bro & Jona just love to go bookshop and can spend whole day inside bookshop without any problem. Definitely not Iz....:)

I can go on write and write and write about my mom, but, since it is 8 random facts about my mom, I better stop it now.....

Anyway, I really appreciate what my mom did to me all these years. Without her, I really couldn't be what I'm today - career & family....THANK YOU SO MUCH, My dear MOMMY!

I won't pass this Tag to other mommies, cause I guess all the mommies I knew, has done this Tag.

Sport Day: 18th August 2007

This is a backdate post. Jona's sport day on 18th August 2007.

Early morning, around 6.30am, Jona wake up and 'force' all of us to wake up too. Reason: He want to get ready and go to Sport Day at his kindy...This is the 1st year he attend his Sport Day.

Jona: So excited, finished his milk without much problem, get changed and ready.

Iz: So happy too, cause finally he can go to 'SCHOOL', which he has keep begging us to bring him.

Daddy: Purposely postpone his outstation trip to afternoon, so, he could watch his son sport day wor...Ready with camera and videocam.

Once we reached school, there are quite a number of parents and their kids arrive and already being assigned ingroup. Jona got BLUE tag meaning under Blue group. It is a teamwork meaning around 4 - 8 persons in one group.

The event start with singing Negaraku song and then prayer. And, followed by School motto. All went so smoothly and the weather is nice too for this event. All parents are so excited: ready with videocam or camera in hand - snapping photos.

The sport event divided into 3 categories: 4 yrs old, 5 yrs old and 6 yrs old.
But, during the prize ceremony, thing has turned a bit chaos...maybe, it is around 10 something, kid get hungry, parent can't wait take photo of their kid holding a medal, wanted go shopping, etc....

Overall, Jona play 3 games - passing balloon, holding pingpong ball using spoon and picking up hat, wear and run back to his team. Dadi and me really quite impressed with Jona sport spirit. He really followed instruction well, having sport spirit with his team member. So, ath the end his team win 1 Gold medal and 2 Silver medal. Jona just feel so happy holding the medals. While Jona busy 'Q'ing for another medal, not forgotten, my lil Iz....He just grab this opportunity to hold the medal, pose with it (pretending like the medal is belong to him which he won).....ha,ha...so funny.

At the end, nothing could beat their MILK MILK(guess it is still much better than anything else include MEDAL)....grab it like nobody business at all....

Night Owl..

Usually, Iz will sleep around 9pm if he didn't get enough sleep at nanny house during daytime. And, if Dadi only babysit him to sleep around 10pm, within 1 second, he will doze off.

But, yesterday night, he become night owl.....after whole day went to shopping with grandma and Jona, 3 of us, just feel so tired (exception to Iz: with nanny) once we fetch Iz and reach home around 6 plus...

Jona seem to be growing up liao, doesn't really need to take his nap. Morning, he attend holiday camp, and after that, I just bring him together with grandma went for a shopping at IKEA, and he just doesn't want to sleep except keep playing....
Around 9 pm, while Jona and grandma sleep so soundly....Iz has turn into night owl......Momi try to fall asleep, but, Iz just keep turning his body around, sit up for a while and sleep back - asking questions: 'Daddy, ler?' 'Grandma, ler?' 'Kor, kor ,ler?' 'Aunty, ler?'....continously non stop....till Momi also become full alert.

So, around 9.30pm, I just let Iz play inside the room for a while(pity him can't sleep - cause nanny said, today, from 1pm, Iz sleep for 3 hours!!!). While Momi busy replying SMS to Dadi(outstation) and Aunty Carol, Iz just keep asking 'Why, Why, Why - meaning, Momi, what are you doing?' And, then, continue playing with IKEA colourful cup, and trying to identify the colour......
Suddenly, he ask Momi: "more, more.." - He want me to take pic of him using camera phone....

Here is his 'ham sap' pose...he,he....Whenever we ask him to kiss Momi or Dadi or Kor kor, he will just pull his lip so longgggg like lil pig...trying to kiss you on your lip. His latest 'trademark'.

After taking this picture, he will ask for "more, more..."

So, full alert & keep posing as model..

Around, 10.20pm, this night owl start to feel sleepy liao......he,he...luckily, around 10 something lar...if not, Momi definitely will become 'Mummy' from Eypt the next time.

Wow....See...

Nowadays, I just wonder which house doesn't has computer/laptop/notebook at home.

And, since Dadi is so addict to his laptop every night, he seem to pass this 'virus' to his dearly sons - Jona and nowadays Iz. For Momi, I'm very strict - no computer/laptop whatsoever when I'm at home...he,he...maybe, because I'm facing computer screen 8 hours a day when I working in the office and I really scared to see computer screen again back home...:P

So, when Dadi back home and wanted to enjoy his 'own' world...he,he..came 2 pirates wanted to play computer too.

Jona will always win in snatching the computer from Dadi and Iz....while Jona playing so happily with the toddler game through internet, Iz could only act as audience, watching silence from side...and sometimes, Iz will make some sound like 'aaaa....' 'seeeeee....', and just play being good student while Jona explain to Iz like how to press this button, that button to make the Mickey drive fast......

Guess, both will grow up, be addict to computer too....who know, even superb than Dadi...

Sharing the moment....

All I could said, Iz is so brave, daring compare to Jona.

After some shopping around, as usual, when both boys saw this kind of toy-coin-machine (must put coin in before it can move), both wanted to ride on it. I still remember it clearly that when Jona still small, no matter how we persuade him to ride on it, he will just cried and doesn't want to try at all (which of course, save Momi money, he,he)...but, since arrival of Iz, Jona now, dare to ride on it...cause he got companion lor....sometimes, I just really run out of coin for these 2 rascals...Each one want to ride after one another and sometimes, just doesn't want to share at all. (That's why nowadays, I got lot of coins in my purse....just in case)

For Iz, since baby till now, he just want to ride on it, and getting 'addicted' some more....

See, Iz even willing to share the ride with other kid. But, not Jona. How this happened? Well, just so coincidence, Iz and the other kid walk toward this coin-machine, and both arrived at the same time. And, this kid is with her mommy and she manage to climb on the car before I arrived. So, left Iz nagging wanted to ride as well. The other kid mommy is so nice, said, let Iz share riding with her girl wor....luckily, the girl is fine with it....there you go....free riding from strange...:)

After the ride, Iz is not satisfied, and Jona join together for second ride, which Jona is fine with it. As long as he doesn't ride with stranger, he is ok.

Geeee....I should train Iz to not so friendly with stranger lor...must be like Jona....for safety purposes..

Are You A Plain Mama Just Like Me?

Ok, I got this Tag from Chanel....

Well like Chanel said, since giving birth to my lovely 2 boys, I really not so care in taking care of myself, my appearance, my look, etc, till I decided to 'close production' when Iz was 6 mths old. Then, from that onward, I will try to make sure I look nicer, wear nicer depend on situation & environment, being slim and sexy mommies to my boys...of course, all these need to be done without using lots of my money....use whatever I have to full max...but, most of the time, I'm still simple and plain mama.

You Are 51% Vain

You're a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence.
Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don't think less of those who aren't as pretty as you!

Am I a girl or a boy?

During one of our family outing to 1U, somewhere in New Wing, Jona spotted this cute poster or should I said a human figure but without face. Actually, I think they put this icon there for some Visa / Master card promotion. Guess like 'spend spend using your credit card'..
And, naughty Jona is the first one to climb and ask me to take his photo. Wow, his face really fit to the boy figure.

See, how sweet Iz is, and while looking at the photo, I just realise that Iz too, match his face to the body of the girl?!! Everyone saw this photo said, she look so sweet and cute, and didn't realise that it is actually Iz - a boy!!

I love this picture. It is so natural - both of them have their own pose & moment....Jona - as usual just being so naughty and doesn't want to stand properly, while Iz (actually being hold from back by Dadi), just grab this opportunity to look around using 'this girlie face', and as usual, he is always end up with blur blur face - innocent...

So, if you happen to pass this poster at New Wing, 1U, remember to stop and take some pic...the outcome is really so funny and nice...different kind of interpretation.

Travel.....

Guess which country I will be going this time?? Yeah....it is Taiwan. Anyway, it will always be a business trip.....I still don't have that privileges yet to visit oversea country using my own money or having any family trip with 2 young boys(**raise my hand** It is really not easy at all)....Maybe, when they are big enough, then, I might consider doing it once a year..

101 Taipei? Yeap, I have visit it liao....for me, I think nothing so special about it....you can see the scenario far far away, even I think, see this kind of scenario from 'Yellow Mountain' is even better and the weather is even nicer....But, I really dislike going up so high and fast on lift (make me feeling so unwell & dizzy)...nevertheless, I got experience going 101 Taipei when people asking me lor....AND, that's the best part of business travelling :P

For Jona: This early morning, when I told him that I will be travelling again to Taipei today, immediately he said, "I want a car". And, lil Iz also say the same "Wan car".....

Fish, Oh Fish....

It has been one of my wish to have this 'water foundation' in my new house when I plan to move in few years back....and finally, this wish come true last weekend. Initially, I plan to buy but, just keep delay with lot of excuses, etc...esp from my hubby.

And, since nowadays, I saw Jona & Iz just love to see fish, esp everyday, climb on the fence just to have a look at my neighbour fish. So pityful one..

Dadi said the price that I get is quite cheap wor...don't know true or not - anyway, it serve 2 purposes and that is what I insist on buying it this time:

a) Momi got her wish come true - water foundation at home. I love to hear the water flowing sound (I mean water flowing gently from one pot to another one)...so peacefully, just like being near the waferfall. And, I have been looking for this type of design quite sometime already. It just fit my requirement (Guess I have 'jodoh' with this water foundation, gua?)

b) Both my sons, is soooo happy with their new friend - their little fish...

3 of us, me, Dadi and Grandma just feel pity of their little friend, and keep asking question: "How are they(fish) doing today?" You know why?? Ha,ha....Jona & Iz too 'friendly' to their new friend lor....

Everyday, Jona will make sure he feed the fish - fish pellet till it oversplit on the floor as well as inside the bowl. And, yesterday night, Jona pretending want to eat bread...He just took a bite, and suddenly, open the grill and rush to water foundation, throw the whole bread spread with peanut jam into the bowl....**ALAMAK**

He even put his tiny hand into the fish bowl, reason: want to play with the bubble out from the pump.

And, for lil Iz, everytimes, back from playground, nanny house or walk walk, he will immediately like F1 rush to water foundation, and look for his 'friend'. He stand so near to the water foundation, that, it seem he almost going to 'destroy' it....and, also when we didn't look at him, he will also put his tiny hand into the bowl....just want to play with water.

Aiyah....no wonder, when first, we put the fish into their 'new' home, 3 of the fish, jump out suddenly, even though it is not that kind of fish that will jump out....kah,kah...they definitely know their master is a MONSTER.....

And, best part, they didn't climb on the fence anymore...or even bother to see neighbour fish liao....less worry for Momi of them falling down....

Hopefully the scar will go away....

Last week Friday, when I fetch Iz from nanny house, I got a surprise from Iz.

Iz face got small 'burn' mark. Sometimes, Iz could be so impatient with food.....when he see food coming, he will immediately go after it and wanted to eat fast fast one....for first few spoon.

So, during feeding time, Iz as usual, keep nagging and crying asking for porridge to be fed. And, before nanny could sit down and blow the porridge for Iz, accidentally, Iz hit the spoon inside the bowl - and the spoon splash into the air with some porridge end up at Iz face.

A tiny porridge could cause Iz face got 'burn' mark!! And, the burn mark is quite serious but luckily without the 'water' inside it.....So, everyday since Friday night I have been keep applying Aloe Vera on that spot, praying no scar on his cute face......

Even yesterday morning and evening, nanny keep explaining about the porridge and the incident....I guess she must feel guilty of the 'burn' mark on Iz face.....

Initially, Dadi not so happy of hearing this incident. And, I could understand Dadi feeling. Previously, when Iz is about 8 mths old, Iz also got 'burn' mark on his tiny finger - due to 'playing' with jolt stick. Nanny put her 'Gong Gong' altar inside her house and on the floor. The result, Iz got serious burn with 'water'(I don't know the actual word for it - should be blood plasma?) inside that location. Just like when you fry fried chicken and the oil splash on your face. And, Iz feel so uneasy for several days....imagine lor.

But, after some discussion, we do think that minor accident do happen everyday everywhere.....as long as Iz is happy and grow up healthy - no broken leg, serious falling down, etc, we really thanks GOD. And, Iz nanny is really a good nanny too. So far, I'm quite happy with her. Sometimes, just can't blame her too much, my lil Iz is also so so nattie....

Mmmm, ok......mmmm, nope

Dadi bought some biscuits back from IKEA yesterday evening....and as usual both boys will be so excited esp Iz having biscuits to munch....

So, while he so happily lick the biscuit (cause got strawberry on the topping)....and I just want to have fun with him...

Momi: Iz, can give mommy a bite?

Iz: Mmmmm...nope, nope....and continue licking the topping

Momi: Iz, can give Kor Kor a bite?

Iz: Mmmm...ok, ok...faster walking toward Jona and give him a bite(Jona as usual, scared of Iz's saliva, keep saying no, no, no...I don't want)

Momi: Iz, can give Daddy a bite?

Iz: Mmmmm....nope, nope

Ha,ha...the person who 'bully' him the most, he is rather willing to share the biscuit with him....showing Iz really 'respect' or in another word scared of Kor Kor....

Little helper

Recently, I'm quite impressed with Jona. He will always give me a surprise out of sudden....

Know what this little 'nattie' plan to do? He,he, me too, got surprise! One evening, immediately after I fetch Iz back home, and Grandma is feeding him dinner, so sudden, he so helpful, asking me for permission to help me sweep the floor. I thought he just being playful (he always does) wanted to play broom set....

See...? He really so hard working ler....sweep the floor so neat and really no dust left....and even willing open the dustbin to throw the rubbish away....

Ha,ha....finally I got small helper at home...but, I guess he learn all these from 'kindy'. Not too sure about it. Anyway, I really happy with his attitude....

Having lots of fun...

Yesterday, I took half day off just to bring Iz to collect his passport at Shah Alam Immigration. Yeah....Iz got passport liao - so, he could travel anywhere he likes with anyone :P

Well, as said, kid is always kid...Since his passport only can be collected after 2 hours of making the payment, then, it mean we have some time left doing nothing.....so, we just hop to another shopping mall that is opposite to Immgration dept called SCC Mall, if I'm not mistaken...

Even the shop is not fully open yet ler...he,he....at 9.45am...

So, we end up having our breakfast at Palm Cafe...the food is really awful...ueeekkkk....really not recommended and so expensive!! Char Kue Teow cost RM 10 ler...believe or not....

But, but, Iz is the one who has most fun at that cafe...while Dadi & Momi want to have some times off to have breakfast, Iz is busying around - being playful. So, what Momi did is, allowed him to play with ICE....yes, ICE....otherwise, he will show 'Moon' face ler...

See, how happy is he....scooping the ice using his tiny fingers, and soak his fingers in it too...then, wipe wipe it again, and soak again.....till his finger turn so cold ler.....

And, Momi being scolded by Dadi - Iz still has bit of running nose :P but, at least we enjoy our breakfast and Iz enjoy his 'ICE' experience mah.

Cho...Cho...Train

Tut, tut, tut tut, tut tut....sing by Jona while he 'play' as captain for his own train.

Scenario:-

1. Maybe, being too boring at home, suddenly, Jona asked Dadi for help to pull all the chair out from playroom.

2. He arrange all the chair sequence by himself.

3. Once done, he 'invite' Iz and Dadi as his passenger. He try to 'invite' Momi and grandma too, but, we reject the offer..he,he...Momi give excuse: take photo, and Grandma want to watch drama on AEC, at 9pm ('Kid from Heaven')

4. Tut, tut, tut tut, tut tut (with lyrics some more ler)....suddenly, Jona think his Cho cho train is not long enough....

5. Asked Dadi to help him again, while leaving 'his' only passenger on the train - Iz!!

6. He grab 2 more big tables from playroom. One putting in front of him, and another one, behind Dadi back....to make longer train.

7. Then, play for few round....suddenly STOP again....Go into the playroom again...

8. Let Iz so boring waiting in the 'train'...he,he...see the action, scratching his leg for no reason... :)

9. Jona actually go grab his own bus, and few cars...to play on the table **slap my forehead**

It is really nice & comforting to see nowadays, Jona can play either by himself or with Iz peaceful for 10 - 20 mins (before 'fighting' start)....
